RP Preferences

I've been roleplaying for about 15 years, and I'm flexible with post size. That said, sometimes I may take a little longer to post due to fatigue. Favorites & Limits are at the bottom.

  • Semi-Paragraph Post Length: While I can do full paragraph or multi-paragraph posts, I tend to prefer semi-paragraph (4-7 sentences) due to FFXIV's chat window size. Ideally, I prefer to roleplay off-FFXIV entirely because of the window size.

  • Third-Person Only: He said and she said, rather than I said and you said.

  • Public vs. Private: I'm fine with both, but if doing public scenes, I prefer they not happen in large city hubs. Chat gets too difficult to follow.

  • Action, Slice-of-Life and Travel: I love roleplay themes that follow those explored in the FFXIV main storyline.

  • In Joy and Sorrow: Both happy and sad themes are more than welcome.

Partner Preferences

Typically, I'm willing to roleplay with almost anyone, but these are my actual preferences. It goes without saying, I reserve the right to end or refuse roleplay for any reason. No means no.

  • Masculine Fellas: Big guys, rough and tumble guys, brawlers, meatheads, hairy dudes, and more. I prefer masculine-presenting men characters over effeminate ones. Canon Examples: Zenos, Gaius, Estinien, Cid, Emet-Selch and Thancred.

  • Brawly and Brawny Gals: Tough gal characters with the muscle to break you over their knee, or enough spirit to put you in a grave. Canon Examples: Merlwyb, Yshtola, Lyna, Zero and Yugiri.

  • Any Gender: What it says on the tin.

  • Maturity: Non-negotiable. Both physically and mentally mature characters and players. Those over 25 years of age are preferred, with 21 being the lowest.

  • Villains: I love villains. I will simp loudly for a well-designed villain. I'm not exclusive to writing with them, but they're my favorites, and I've mostly written villains and bastards over the years, myself. Zenos yae Galvus is my favorite from FFXIV.

  • Chill People: I have no tolerence for individuals interested in creating problems. I won't stop you from talking about FFXIV struggles, but don't drag me into your drama. I'm too tired for it.

Details indicated with a * beside them are considered public or observable knowledge, and you're welcome to include them in your roleplay with Khalja without needing to learn it in-character first.Khalja is intended to be a somewhat recognizable character, especially if your own is from the Steppes or Dalmasca.In modern terms, Khalja's heritage is Mongolian and Indian. He speaks what I imagine to be FFXIV's closest to Khalkha as his first language, though is fluent in others.

RP Stats

BOONS
Bone Breaker: Khalja's tail and bite are exceptionally dangerous.
Iron Bulk: The heavy tail and dense scales coupled with Khalja's size render him a very dense Au Ra.
Raging Bull: A proper charge from the heavy Au Ra can sweep a man off his feet (literally) or put a hole in ship hull.
Coeurl's Step: An uncanny ability to soften his footsteps.
Saint's Patience: In spades, and then some.
Lightning Rod: Khalja both attracts lightning strikes and is capable of channeling the aetherial energy of them.HINDRANCES
Unstoppable: Once charging, turning is difficult and so is stopping, sometimes to his own detriment.
Cold Blooded: The cold makes Khalja incredibly sluggish and he sleeps more.
Insatiable: His appetite is immense and thankfully infrequent unless regularly in motion.
Carnivore: His diet requires a large amount of meat to maintain energy.
Blind Rage: If pushed to his breaking point, Khalja's anger cannot be reasoned with - by friend nor foe.
Low Arcane Resistance: Less immune to magic than other Gunbreakers, Khalja struggles to ward off powerful casters.JOB STONES
Khalja learned how to use gunblades during his time in Dalmasca as part of the Garlean military, making Gunbreaker his primary job. He is in possession of a new Machinist stone. However, the one previously owned job stone he owns belonged to a Reaper said to have been consumed by the Voidsent. Its affects on Khalja are drastic, altering his demeanor and personality if utilized for too long.

About Canon Characters:
I'm very open to writing with canon character players, but I'm a bit picky about adhering to those characters' designs. I'd say I prefer about 80% accurate IC depictions, for just enough wiggle room and lenience for interesting new roleplay stories and themes.Preferred Canon Characters:
I'm willing to roleplay with most well-written canon characters, but those I'm interested in are primarily Zenos, Emet-Selch, Aymeric, Yshtola, Thancred, G'raha Tia, Cid, Merlwyb, Lyna, Zero and Estinien.About "Warrior of Light" Characters:
I'm open to roleplay with characters portrayed as the Warrior of Light, so long as it's not used excessively or to powergame. I'm less interested in portraying Khalja as the WoL myself unless friends would like me to.

Regarding Flirting & Romantic Roleplay:
I will interact with characters who flirt and pursue romance as part of their designs. However, please don't send me tells that contain explicit adult content. Some coy stuff and flirting OOC is chill, just don't expect anything. Typically I prefer stories about intrigue, adventure, conflict, espionage, struggle, travel and combat over intimate storylines.
